Andre's account of the Freedom Trail Race - 2009 Edition
The Freedom Trail race is a 2200km unsupported mountain bike race across South Africa. The race starts in Pietermaritzburg and ends in Paarl close to Cape Town, and must be completed within the cutoff time of 26 days. Participants ride alone, but are provided with food and lodging at pre-defined overnight stops.
